Breaking Bread Together:
An Interfaith Reunion
Growing out of our SV FACES Gala interfaith invocations
and dialogue groups, we helped form the South Bay Interfaith group, dedicated
to promoting shared public celebration of our faiths. Last year we organized
a community-wide interfaith celebration. It was built upon an unusual
convergence of Abrahamic faith holidays that fall; we invited the public
and it worked very well.
On
Thursday, September 21, 2006, representatives of several religious
communities in Silicon Valley gathered together with more than 200
folks from across the Valley for "Breaking
Bread Together: An Interfaith Reunion." |
